This is super important by the way. It is so easy to drown in the sea of negativity, anxiety, and what seems to be a bottomless pit of despair.

As a society, we need to collectively learn to take a step back and learn to appreciate the beautiful minutiae that surrounds us. This doesn’t mean we ignore the big bads, or that we give up fighting the good fight. But we do need to prioritize our mental health and supporting each other in a positive way.

So, to @LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone (et al), thank you for your efforts. 🙏

You are most welcome. Have a wholesome day!

A group of rooks (cousins of ravens and crows) is also called a parliament. There’s also “an exaltation of larks,” And my favorite: “a business of ferrets” which makes me imagine a burrow with wooden desks and a bunch of ferrets in green visors chattering at each other.

A pile of proctologists!

A raft of hippos and a dazzle of zebras!

A crash of rhinoceroses.

An Embarrassment of Students

Let’s not focus on crows then

A murmuration of starlings

A persistence of horrors.

Most of the commonly known collective nouns like this were published in The Book of St. Albans in 1486 by Dame Juliana Berners.

A frustration of children.

A puckering of assholes.
