Fax service forces me to supply an email address which it then discloses to the fax recipient. What’s my fix for this?

The fax service demands an email address for confirmation purposes. I give a disposable address using a service that lets me choose the username portion. So I choose an address like dysfunctionaladdress@disposablebox.xyz. Then I use that disposable acct to confirm the fax.

This is somewhat of a support group for people who are done with e-mail (or mostly so). Discuss how you avoid email and how you deal with those who try to impose email on you.

Or if you are self-hosting email but seek ways to nix surveillance advertisers (Google, Microsoft, etc) from your traffic, that’s also relevant here. Some of us may be willing to use email in some cases if we can wrestle back some control. E.g. we might want to automatically refuse connections from Google or Microsoft mail servers.

Chatter about how to send and receive postal mail or faxes is also relevant here. That includes services that handle our mail or faxes.
