When I played Fallout 3, there was a mission to help the rangers, with a special armor as reward.
After finally playing New Vegas this year, I discovered the rangers are the elite troops of the NCR.
Loosely related, in Wasteland 2 you also play a ranger.
I’ve seen people report the prices were 70/50, and i’m wondering if the immediate hostility cause them to knock it down 10 dollars each before I could get to steam to see it.
I want this comm's take on which New Vegas quest/dlc sized mods are worth the time. I also wanna know about which mods to avoid, which are flawed yet worth playing, and what technical issues might arise from any of them.
I played the game for the first time (without the DLCs) as a melee weapons, neutral, NCR~Mr. House leaning character who finaly choose the Yes Man route to sole power over New Vegas and decimated the legion fort, alone, just before the battle of Hoover Dam.
Halloween was on the horizon, the heat had finally started to break, and it was a pleasant fall evening. I'd been planning this weekend with Janet for a while now. She finally got her boss at the diner to give her the weekend off. Frank was a good boss but leaned too much on Janet for the daily ins and outs of the place, having her do most of the back office work and waitressing while only being paid as a waitress. She loves her regular customers, though, so she doesn't want to leave any time soon.
I'm about 30 hours into Fallout 76 so far and I'm surprised how much I am enjoying it. There's a lot of unique locations and creatures that make exploring fun. The MMO part of the game isn't super blatant outside of the microtransactions for skins and certain items. When I do come across other players it's usually because I stumbled into their camp and we just emote at each other a couple times before I move on. I don't think there is a way to actually talk with other players outside. I think there might be voice chat but I haven't tried it. The story seems pretty shallow though and mostly done through terminal entries and notes. I haven't really felt compelled to follow the main story line. I've been slowly working my way East then South doing miscellaneous quests along the way and exploring.
