Hi there, I have been using Firefox since a long time with these extensions. Do you think if any of those are redundant? Why I ask this is that while using Outlook in Firefox, it's consuming around 1.7 GB of RAM. I don't think it should be using this much amount of RAM for just a single tab of Outlook. Edit: I already use uBlock Origin, but it's not present in the attached pic.

Mar Menor, a 135-square-kilometer (52-square-mile) lagoon in southern Spain, is the only ecosystem in Europe that can be named a victim in a legal case. The European Central Bank (ECB) today launched a public contest for the design of future euro banknotes – the next step in the euro banknote redesign process. The ECB’s Governing Council has already selected two possible themes for the future euro banknotes after consulting experts and the public. These are: “European culture”, focusing on shared cultural spaces and important Europeans; and “Rivers and birds”, focusing on the resilience and diversity of Europe’s natural ecosystems. In January the Governing Council also selected motifs to illustrate the two possible themes.

Took a quick, poor-quality photo of my library as tribute. Does anyone have any recommendations for Free and Open Source software which can create stereographic images? I can just throw them into Paint (or the Linux equivalent, as I'm mid-switch right now), like I did here, but I would like to find software that does the processing quickly.

For the first time, on November 20, 2024, the Dia da Consciência Negra (Black Consciousness Day) was recognized as a national holiday in Brazil. The date marks the death of Zumbi dos Palmares, the leader of the largest Brazilian quilombo, who was beheaded in 1695 by the Portuguese Crown—his head displayed as a trophy in a public square (to dispel, it is said, the myth of his immortality). The quilombo was a community of enslaved people who escaped from white-owned plantations, where they were kept imprisoned in the senzalas, the quarters designated for them—hence the name of a classic (and controversial) Brazilian text, Casa-Grande & Senzala (1933), by sociologist Gilberto Freyre.
